Teams Step Up As the Playoffs Near

Although there is still one more week of regular season games left to play, that last week can be considered the start of the playoffs as several team's postseason status is still unsure-- especially after the drama of Week 8 action.  The most notable game of the Week is Quiet Storm's stunning loss to the underachieving Bulldogs who have broke out of their early season slump to hand the defending champs their first L of the season.  Another game which shook up the standings was Skymax capturing their first win in over two years by beating the Wolves handily.  Most importantly, the W gives Skymax a shot at making the playoffs.  Squires bounced back from their first loss last week by outlasting Raptors.  The live-by-the-three-die-by-the-three Venom showed how dangerous their full squad can be as they put on a shooting clinic against the Warriors.  Although Prodigies put up some points and got the win against the Blazers, they need to do more on the defensive end if they want to make a serious run at the chip.  DOC picked up another encouraging win as they beat a Dream Team that is faltering at the wrong time of the year.  With their win over the Rebels, Forwarders have a shot at a First Round bye and their win also seriously jeopardizes the Rebels chances at another playoff run.

Stay tuned for further updates.  Also, if anyone has any questions whatsoever about the playoffs, hit up the FORUM page.
