(45) Bulldogs vs. (54) Squires, Week 4
The Squires, after having dispatched the Warriors in Week 3, looked for a non-division win against the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs have struggled for the most part this season but were able to pick up their first win against Skymax last week. They couldn’t regain their Week 3 momentum as they have lost three of their last four. Jon Allmond (6 reb, 3 stl) led all scorers with 19 points but it wasn’t enough as the Squires countered with a very balanced attack. Squires boasted three double-digit scorers as Andy Sanderson (13 pts, two 3’s), Jeremy Calazara (11 pts, 5 reb) & Jay Gundran (10 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast, 2 blk) caused the most damage. Early on the Bulldogs started hot as they went on a 11-2 run. Squires battled back and took a one point lead into the half and after a 9-0 run to start the second half, Squires never looked back. With the victory Squires has now won 4 consecutive while the Bulldogs have dropped 3 of 4. jv
