(60) Forwarders vs. (40) D.O.C., Week 4
In a non-division game many expected this match-up to be a lot closer than the final score indicates. In a game where they never trailed, the Forwarders shot the ball well and were up by 8 ten minutes in. They extended their lead to 18 by halftime and won going away. Eleven three pointers by the Forwarders were a big reason for their strong performance and D.O.C. will definitely remember the Forwarder’s Ryan Pauling. Pauling had a game-high 21 pts, including 5 three’s, 8 reb, 1 ast & 1 stl. Kevin Alig also had his way offensively connecting on 3 three’s en route to 16 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast & 1 stl. Lee Harrelson (4 reb, 1 stl) and Theo Jamison (5 reb, 3 ast) were the stars for D.O.C. with 10 pts each. Their lowest scoring output of the season, D.O.C. has shown signs of offensive struggles. That, coupled with a failure to defend consistently, has left them in a tough position. D.O.C. have now dropped 3 of their last 4 while the Forwarders have won back-to-back games since their defeat in Week 2 to the Squires. jv
