(30) Dream Team vs. (49) Quiet Storm, Week 2
Dream Team hasn’t won in two tries against Quiet Storm. The second loss was in the 2007 AABL quarterfinals, a game where they were embarrassed by 55 points. James Oaks, who played for the defending champions last season, opted this year to join his brother, Mike, on the Dream Team. With these interesting storylines this looked to be an interesting game. Despite a tight first half Quiet Storm was able to pick up their third straight win over their counterparts. Only one player scored in double-digits: Q.S.’s Steve Bollman with 11 points in his season debut. He fouled out but his teammates were able to pick up where he left off (all Storm players scored for the 2nd game in a row). Kevin Ladia had 8 points and Michael Sinchongco had seven for the Storm. Dream was within striking distance at the half, trailing only by five. But no one on the roster was able to score and they eventually succumbed to the Storm’s pressure defense. Dream Team was led by Joel Polintan who had 8 points (two 3’s), 2 reb and 1 stl. jv
