(54) Prodigies vs. (65) Quiet Storm, Week 3
This was a highly anticipated matchup between two teams playing very well. The winner of this game would remain undefeated and get a leg up in the Red Division. After the smoke cleared the defending champs were able to use their experience and depth to pull out the 11-point victory. Nine of the eleven who played for Storm scored – and definitely all 11 contributed in some way. Vince White led the Storm in scoring with 12 points. White also had 7 rebounds and 1 assist. Anthony Perez (11 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, 4 stl) and Mikey Sinchongco ( 10 pts, 3 reb, 1 three) were the Storm’s two other double-digit scorers. Aaron Brown led the Prodigies with a team-high 17 pts, 9 reb & 2 ast. He and the rest of his squad kept it close in the first half. In the 2nd half the Storm created some breathing room when they carried a 10 point lead with 4:23 remaining. That distance was enough to hold off their younger counterparts as the Prodigies struggled offensively and couldn’t find any rhythm in the final 20 minutes… jv
