(79) Prodigies vs. (34) Wolves, Week 2
The Wolves have trouble scoring. They managed just 37 last week in a blowout loss to the Forwarders. This week they would have to keep up with the Prodigies, easily the league’s fastest team. Despite their best efforts the Wolves couldn’t keep pace with their much younger opponents, losing big. The Prodigies had five double-digit scorers and harassed the Wolves all game defensively. The Prodigies came up with 23 steals – the Wolves only managed 16 field goals. Prodigies’ John Reyes led all scorers with 16 points. The most impressive effort came from Roynell Cuffee – he had a big game with 11 pts, 15 reb, 1 ast, and 2 blks. He dominated the paint and made sure that the Wolves couldn’t any easy buckets inside. Gene Flores was the Wolves’ only double-digit scorer with 12 points, 6 reb and 1 ast. jv
