(52) Skymax vs. (65) D.O.C., Week 2
Skymax looked more confident offensively but they couldn’t contain Theo Jamison as D.O.C. won rather easily. D.O.C. led by as much as 16 points en route to their first win of the season. Jamison led all scorers with 22 points, hitting from outside (three 3’s) and beating defenders to the basket at will. Calvin Morris had a solid game for D.O.C. with 12 points, 9 reb, 5 ast and 4 stl. Skymax, though they lost this one, has much to look forward to. Their off-season acquisition, Andre McMullen, has quickly shown that he is a force to be reckoned with. McMullen gave the fans his best Michael Beasley impression with 16 points (team-high), 26 of his team’s 43 rebounds, 2 ast, 1 stl and 1 blk. Even though his effort was in a losing one he and the rest of Skymax can use this as a blueprint to get back into the win column. jv
