(44) Warriors vs. (75) Squires, Week 3
The Warriors have shown some flashes of brilliance this season. They played a great game in Week 1 against the Raptors. Although they lost, the Warriors sent a message that they are a team to be reckoned with. Week 2 proved to be the opposite as they were blown out by the Blazers. The first 20 minutes of this game was reminiscent of the Week 1 Warriors as they trailed the mighty Squires by five. But in the second half they looked like the Warriors in Week 2, allowing Squires to score 49 points en route to a 75-44 victory. Tony Otter finished as the Warriors’ only double-digit scorer with a team-high 10 points (including two first half 3’s). After starting off slowly, Squires turned up the defense in the second half and capitalized on 12 steals. Squires had 5 players score in double-digits: Ryan Driggers (game-high 16), Jay Gundran (15), Andy Sanderson (15, four 3’s), Brandon Snodgrass and Jun Madera (12 apiece). jv
