(43) Wolves vs. (56) Venom, Week 9
Playoff-bound Venom had a hard time putting down the Wolves but managed to pick up the W. Wolves played their best team ball of the year, by impressively controlling the tempo for almost the entire game. With good ball movement, intelligent play, few turnovers, and high percentage shot attempts, Wolves made this more interesting than Venom hoped. Unfortunately for the Wolves, their high percentage shot attempts weren't falling and Venom was able to capitalize on the other end and wear them out. Venom's Nic Torres was intent on making sure no drama happened on his watch, playing hardnosed ball and scoring 17 pts, 1 three, 4 stls, 2 rebs. Also, Venom returned key big man Patrick DeMesa to the lineup who scored just 6 pts, but with 6 rebs, 4 blks in limited time. This is bad news for any playoff team. With this loss the Wolves are scratched from the playoffs. FD
